Building Construction Superintendent

Fowler General Construction, Inc. is seeking a qualified building construction superintendent to be part of our team! 

 

The candidate must have a minimum of 10 years of proven General Construction experience.  In addition, the candidate must have a minimum of 5 years at the Supervisory Level, which shall include labor management. Candidate must have 3 years experience supervising work involving construction of structural concrete, installation of structural steel, steel and wood framing and metal roofing systems. Candidate must be capable of managing firm fixed price construction projects, including the daily management of subcontractors, craft and ensure overall quality and safety on projects. Construction Project Engineer

FGC is looking for an accountable project engineer to be responsible for technical disciplines that projects involve. You will schedule, plan, forecast, resource and manage the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion.

 

Responsibilities:

- Produce and track contracts with subcontractors, suppliers and consultants.

- Collect and track RFI’s and submittals and maintains a database to organize the material.

- Prepare and coordinate change orders and track them using a database. Assist with the preparation of project schedules.

- Provide technical and on-site support to Project Manager and Project Superintendent

- Prepare bid documents and analyze proposals

- Assist in preparation of construction drawings and other required documents

 

Requirements:

- Proven working experience as a project engineer

- Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD

- Advanced MS Office skills

- Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards

- Ability to work with multiple discipline projects

- Project management and supervision skills

- Decision making ability and leadership skills

- Time management and organization skills

- BS degree in Construction Management or relevant field

Project Manager

Fowler General Construction is seeking candidates for a Project Manager position. 

Responsibilities:

Candidates must be able to manage all aspects of the cost, schedule and technical baselines for construction projects.  Candidates shall be capable of performing estimating, technical writing, managing subcontracts, submittal process, RFI’s, change orders and job close-out activities.  Position requires planning and ensuring adherence to the construction baselines, coordinating with vendors and architects and compliance with contract documents, QA/QC and safety regulations.  Candidate must have the ability to manage multiple projects/tasks and possess strong organizational, communication and leadership skills.

 Qualifications:

Prefer BS in Construction Management with 5 years proven construction experience with at least 2 years as a Project Manager or equivalent combination of education and experience.
