Sage Crest Elementary

6411 W. 38th Avenue Kennewick, WA 99338

Fowler General Construction has been awarded the contract to construct the Sage Crest Site Elementary School for the Kennewick School District. The new 56,500 sq. ft. building is a prototype of the new East Gate Elementary and the Cotton Wood Elementary designed by MMEC Architecture. The exterior of the building is very aesthetically pleasing with a mix of curtain walls, metal panels and decorative CMU veneer. The curtain walls at the administration area and the library will provide the students and staff with views overlooking Southridge High School and the Columbia Valley. The building is structurally composed of both steel and CMU block. The project includes 22 general purpose classrooms, 18 rooms to support special programs, a computer lab, library, kitchen, gymnasium, multipurpose room and a stage area to support student activities and school functions. The project sites consist of a bus loop off of W. 41st Ave and a large parking area for staff and visitors accessed off 38th Ave. The site will also provide two baseball fields, sports courts and a play area for student use.
