Fowler General Construction has been awarded the contract to build the Richland School District, New Lewis & Clark Elementary School.  The elementary school is a 65,000 SF building constructed primarily of structural steel, and cement masonry units.  The project includes 30 classrooms, a library, administrative area/offices, commercial kitchen, gymnasium, cafeteria, music platform, and mechanical/custodial rooms. The exterior cladding of the school is a combination of a CMU veneer, composite panels, aluminum storefront/glazing, metal sheathing, and standing seam metal roofing.  Site work on the 8.5 acre site will include the installation of site utilities, concrete, asphalt, curb & gutter, playground equipment, and landscaping.  FGC will self-perform the structural concrete, structural steel, and installation of some interior furnishings.  Substantial complete is scheduled for Summer 2015.
